Why Trophy's?
What is the history of the trophy? The answer has been suprisingly difficult to track down; in fact, after several hours of research I can only advance a couple of plausible theories. For many centuries, a "trophy" was simply something of one's enemy - a piece of armor, perhaps, or occasionally a body part - that was displayed after a battle as a tangable proof of triumph. The dictionary states "something gained or given in victory or conquest especially when preserved or mounted as a memorial." The common sence theory is my favorite, it makes people feel good to hear their names called for an award, they feel that they have accomplished something and will be back to try and win another award.
We are very flexible, understanding that you will have last minute additions, we can accommodate you. Also a couple of benefits to our being on site is that the club saves on shipping charges; and you never know how many shooters are going to shoot a clean match. A couple of matches we have engraved clean match awards that otherwise might not have been recognised.
We are licensed with SASS to reproduce and sell the Marshall. By supporting SASS vendors, we in turn can support yours as well as other clubs. |
